FP error: unknown WinINet error, code 12057

Okay... so laugh all you want, but I have to use FP here at work. But besides that point, I am having an issue with it here on Vista. When I try to connect to the server, it automatically reports, "An unknown WinINet error has occured (code 12057)."

Does anybody here have a clue what that means and/or how to fix it?

First of all, I'm not sure FrontPage is truly compatible with Vista. Microsoft stopped producing and supporting FrontPage before they developed Vista, so the two programs are most likely going to have issues together. It's the same deal as trying to use Adobe PageMaker on Vista. It will probably work, but there are going to be issues.

Secondly, I found a tech site that seems to have an answer to your particular error (not saying for sure that more errors won't pop up when you get that solved, though, unfortunately). Try the solution mentioned at FAQ

I looked on the Microsucks support site, and they did not have anything for it (go figure). I will show that to the Binary Boys to see if they can get it to fix the issue.
