I am not happy with the menu either but I am not really sure what to do? I have so many different pages, what would be an acceptable way to show them? I am open to suggestions I thought about just having them all displayed down the left column but this might get confusing with the different sub-sections.

Thanks

Maybe just have an introduction page to each subsection of your site? There you could list all of your main site links. Also, you could think about adding a right-navigation menu to your inside pages.

On my site, I've added a right-hand navigation menu that changes to fit each page you view. On a few pages, it simply includes links to anchors on that same page. On other pages, it contains links to related page.

I agree with Mr. Curtiss - those menus were big in the late 90s where everyone wanted to be like Microsoft. The usability question is "when will the menu end" -- I think it is fine to make pages for those -- especially -- because it can SERIOUSLY help your seo rankings.

And don't be sad, here is a free sheep:

Thanks guys,

I am redesigning it right now

Curtiss: I like your site, where did you get the search engine from? Is it a script or did you write it yourself? I wrote one for my site but I kept having problems with the boolean search.

Thanks

Thanks. Unfortunately, it is extremely heavy with tables at the moment. It was a design I cooked up about three or four years ago for someone else's site, and they never used it, so I finally ended up using it a little over a year ago. I haven't had a chance to go back through and play with getting rid of the tables.

I originally got it from Atomz. They were recently bought out by WebSideStory, but the search functionality appears to remain unchanged. Click here for info. It's pretty nice. You can actually set up multiple sites under the same account, and you can tell the search engine which pages on your site to index, and when to schedule regular indexing. That reminds me that I never did add the "simple search" back on to my portion of the web site.

I look forward to seeing your re-design.

I have changed the navigation menu so hopefully it is more user friendly. It is not finished yet (still needs to look nice) but I think everything is in place.

Please have a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks

Angry

I like the navigation and the lack of page transition; however, I am bugged a little bit by the X-mas colours (secondary nav). That is just my two cents though!

Don't worry, I have only just been testing and therefore have not got around to changing them yet. They will look nice when I have finished, honest

lol! Okay, cool... because if not, I would have to hack your site and put up some really lame pictures and add your signature to all of them.
