Embedding a blog into a website

Hey gang -

I have been looking for a way to embed a fully funtional blog into my website. I have looked at Wordpress, which I can use with my webhost, but it seems pretty tricky to do this. If anybody has some advice on using Wordpress, please let me know!

My goal is to have search engines crawl my site, including the blog. I'd like the structure to be something like http://www.my-site.com/blog/blog.html

The only sitebuilding tool I've seen that can do this is Omnisitebuilder, and in order to do that, it would cost $40/month because everything is hosted on their servers.

Thank you in advance.

Scott

Wordpress is not tricky at all. The template system is extremely easy to use and installation is a breeze, really.

WP is very easy to install and integrate to your website. If you need to customize your site more then you can use drupal. Which is very good.

Embedding Blog into Website

I just embedded a fully functional WordPress Blog into a custom website and it is very easy. After you create your website, my_site.com, go into the c-panel and install WordPress. Create a new folder for it (don't just put it into the public_html directory). I called my folder 'blog'. Now to access that blog you would put in this url, my_site.com/blog. In the website, I made a navigation tab that linked to that folder, instead of just another page, such as Journal rather than Journal. Then you just access that folder to customize your WordPress Blog using your username and password you created when installing the application. Hope that helps.

Does your set-up just launch another page on the site, or is the blog actually embedded into the page?

Can you show an example of what you are describing?
