Question Firefox and gradient button backgrounds.

In IE the following CSS can be used to create a gradient background?

filterrogidXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(
GradientType=0,StartColorStr='#ffffffff',EndColorS tr='#c0e1ff');}

I have seen postings stating that Firefox does not yet support gradient backgrounds. Is there a workaround or a method to use to add a gradient background in Firefox (other than faking it with a graphic)? Any data on this would be appreciated.

I don't think there is one. And I doubt Safari and Camino (for instance) support this either. Why would you want a gradient anyway?

That's what I figured

Mostly I like the effect when creating gradiant buttons. We have quite a few sites internally that have gradient backgrounds in the client interface (We're a Notes/Domino shop). We install both Firefox and IE on many machines, though our internal clients primarily still get IE (so no problem there). However, many of these internal applications are now being exposed to the internet and I wanted to create a consistent user interface across all browsers. It's not that big a deal, it primarily pertains to buttons, and it degrades nicely in Firefox and Safari.
