GoDaddy slow / Domain Move..

Does anyone use or has used GoDaddy for domain registration and web hosting?

Our company one domain registered through Network Solutions and hosted with Yahoo! Small Business. It's reliable and speedy.

We have 6 domains I registered with GoDaddy (was cheaper to go through them) and one shared linux hosting account. Five of the domains point back to directories on our other website and one is hosted on the GoDaddy shared linux account. ALL OF THESE ARE SLOW! Even the ones that GoDaddy just registered the domain for us!

If I do a tracert from DOS on the Yahoo!/Network Solutions one I get about 10-11 hops, low pings, and no timeouts. If I tracert any of my domains with GoDaddy I get timeouts in random places, some high pings (110ms+). Always get them too. I've been doing tracert at random intervals for a few days now.

I wonder what I should do. Should I try to get domain transfers elsewhere and if so where should I go?

The one site we do host with GoDaddy I use a MySQL server with the program Gallery to view pictures. If it's this slow for us, it'll be even slower for the factories over in India! I definately want that to be speedier.

Hrm - I've never hosted with GoDaddy so I can't comment - on the dns change side, they are pretty fast.

Why do you host with GoDaddy? Are they giving you something great?

Yuppi, you can go here. I have a few friends who were using GD, and they went elsewhere after having some issues.
