who uses 800x600?

I know most people these days use 1024x768 or even higher than that but does

anybody here represent 800x600? I remember the good old days when my monitor was

set to 8x6.

I know my grandmother does, and I know some other dude who I asked to look at one of my sites. He commented about it because I designed it for 1024x768, and he had to do a little extra scrolling.

I personally use 1600x1200 on one monitor and 1200x1024 on my other (duel monitor setup)

I believe the standard now is 1024x768.

My home computer is currently set at 1680x1050. I'm not sure what I've got my monitor set up at in the office. It's slightly greater than 1024x768.

EDIT - However, according to one of my analytics accounts, nearly 10% of my visitors are still using 800x600. Less than one-percent of my visitors are using less than that, though (and some of those are obviously visiting with a handheld device).

Not completely, Allen.

Actually, I believe that televisions (non HD) run at either 640x480 or 800x600, so people using TV-based browsers (game consoles, Web-TV - if that still exists, etc.) are coming at you with those two resolutions.

Like I said, nearly 10% of the visitors to my professional Web site are still running at 800x600, so there are still some people using it.

Anything below that is pretty much dead, though, and there's probably not much point in programming for it (unless you're talking about a small-screen device like a PDA or iPhone).
