Funny note about the spam....

Ok - so yesterday we got a spam from someone.... it was an offer for some kind of signup and you make x and they make x. I deleted it. But when I look at the e-mail address of the person who signed up, it was xxx@thehartford.com - one of the largest insurance companies here in the usa. So this woman used her WORK e-mail for these purposes. I bet I can get her in a lot of trouble

Now the question is what to do - what to do !

I'd say report it, just as you should with any spam that provides a valid email or IP address.

More than likely, though, the spammer actually harvested her real email address from some internet list, and they're using it as the alias for their own spamming purposes.

aah - i thought that too - but see - here on htmlcenter, we must have people verify their email addys before they can post - so someone at that email clicked the verify link.

$10 says it was some thirteen-year-old from Japan who did it.

Just a brief statement, or are you going to tell us more? (especially the moderators!)
