Hello group,
I have been working on a web server for my Aquarium for the past year. I have used a small NAS device running LINUX (linksys NSLU2 US70.00). It gathers about 20 parameters every minute via the dallas 1wire protocol and provides web services. The data gathering is now complete and stable so I am refocusing on the web interface. Data gathered includes: ph, conductivity, flow rates, 4 temperatures, tank levels and about 8 digital I/O. Digital outputs are yet to be web enabled.
I am trying to create more of a web application than your standard home web site page. My challenges at the moment is to get the drop down selection for trends working and somehow get the message bar linked into a text file sitting on the server. My small 233 MHZ server runs thhtpd as its web server and I just fluked getting CGI scripts to run as well.
I have posted a request on the scripting forum with reference to calling new browser windows from my pull down selections. If you can assist that would be great.
Would also like comment on how aesthetically this page could be improved as this is my first attempt at web page creation.
cheers
