hi all
I am a town counciler a young one, surrounded with old fuddy-duddies but i have dragged them into IT world, but it must be ten year’s since I last built a web site
which was a bloody good one even if i say so
so all the help i can get will be most appreciated

welcome iq - i remember web sites i built from 10 yrs ago

if you really think about it - a lot has changed - but nothing has changed

html is still html

css is more important now

javascript is more important now

but the purpose is still the same

so pull up a chair and hang out with us

True, the languages have not changed very much in ten years, but the implementation of them has changed dramatically. Blink, Marquee, backgrounds, frames, etc. are no longer acceptable things to have on your web pages. Hardly anybody actually sits down and writes static HTML pages anymore. Tables are not supposed to be used for layout purposes anymore. Blah, blah, blah.

When I think of all the hours I wasted designing sites with that ugly crap...
